Some people will ask what is Adopt-A-Spot? Adopt-A-Spot is a program organized by the Southern Miss Physical Plant where students, staff, and faculty choose a designated spot on the Southern Miss campus to clean up every week to maintain the beauty of USM.
I decided to join the Luckyday Staff and clean up Century Park South every Wednesday morning at 9:30 am because I love making Southern Miss a more beautiful place. By participating in this program, I learned how to be a good steward of USM and leaving my mark on the university even if it is just something as simple as picking up trash. Picking up some trash off the ground goes a long way because it helps the Physical Plant staff at USM. Every piece of litter that one picks up makes the earth a more stunning place.

If you are interested in the Adopt-A-Spot program, you can contact the Physical Plant at PhysicalPlant@usm.edu or Sarah Dixon at Sarah.dixon@usm.edu, so they can get you started. As always, Southern Miss to the top!
