
From the busy streets of London to the ancient coastal town of Cadiz, nine Luckyday Scholars will take the opportunity to study abroad this summer in programs offered through the Office of Study Abroad at Southern Miss.
Each October the Luckyday Scholarship Program opens its Study Abroad Application for students who are interested in extending their education overseas during the following calendar year. Through a competitive process, students are selected based on their application essays, recommendation letters, and interviews if needed. A team of Luckyday study abroad alumni read the applications and select the recipients.
Depending on the length of the selected programs, recipients are eligible to receive up to $6,000 for their program of study. Our 2020 recipients can decide the study abroad program they will participate in this next year, and at the time of application their programs include the British Studies Program, Spanish in Spain, and Crime and Politics in Ireland.

As a part of their scholarship agreement, they will write posts on their experiences this summer. The Luckyday Program looks forward to hearing and sharing their experiences as they study, eat, explore, photograph, and soak in the culture of life in England, Ireland, and Spain!
