Paige Braddy, a freshman scholar, is from Picayune, MS. She is a biology major. Her interest in going on the trip grew when she heard about the chance to visit to Muir Woods and the opportunity to see national parks. She loves hiking and being on trails.
On Monday, when the group arrived in Yosemite National Park and headed out on a hike, Paige was excited to be in the woods. There were two trail options, a shorter hike to a bridge and a longer one that continued on to the top of a waterfall. The second part of the hike was intense, with steep steps and rocks. She was surprised at herself in that she could make it up the steep path to the top of the waterfall. It was a tough journey, but the views at the top were amazing!
